Welcome to Eye on PLSD Finances, a site formed to review current and past financial policy decisions of the Pickerington Local School District, so that citizens of the community can be fully informed about what is happening.  Within this site the reader will find a recent financial history that is backed up with PLSD prepared documents and newspaper articles published on the subject.  PLSD administrators and the Board consistently maintain that they are transparent with the school systems finances and this site intends to provide the information that the news media organizations within the community have disregarded in order to make that possible.

This site provides fact based information, but it will also raise questions about why some decisions were made as they were.  Some will maintain that such questions should not be raised and that it is disruptive and harmful to those working within the system, while there are others that will embrace the information and the raised questions as a necessary step for the citizens to keep watch over a government program financed by the taxpayers.

This site is not about being anti-Pickerington schools, anti-teachers/administrators or an attempt to divide and destroy the Pickerington community.  The Pickerington City School District provides a great value to the community.  However, the educational concept has to be balanced with the community's need to have the complete system be run on a fiscally responsible basis based upon the tax dollars that the community can reasonably provide.

The above is a summary about what this site is about.  The facts and the readers opinions as to the content contained within will dictate as to how anyone wants to use the information.
